Birds & Mammals Walk on the Jaguar Trail

Guided wildlife walk inside Tortuguero National Park through a coastal rainforest ecosystem—different from the canoe tour— to spot spectacular birds and local mammals such as anteaters, spider monkeys, raccoons and coatis (and with luck… a jaguar).

  • Early: 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM Best birds
  • Mid-morning: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Park-managed time windows; time on trail is ~2 h 30 min and may vary with sightings & weather.
